Better safe than sorry

I give my kids vitamins all the time. And I try very hard to feed them as little processed foods as possible and shove veggies down their throat  give healthy options at dinner time. I don't believe that we won't succumb to diseases so when Paige got sick it didn't throw me into a panic.
But when the fever came and went and then came again, I was concerned. A cold is how her Dad passed a year ago. In four days it went form "sick" to pneumonia and then gone.

So I took her in to get tested. The test came back negative and the doctor said that she as pretty positive she had it, but that there's a false positive with the flu tests. In any case, she gave us a RX for tamiflu and amoxicillin just in case I felt like she needed it. I do not like antibiotics because of the havoc they wreak on your immune system, so I went to the store and picked up my own concoctions of meds.
It took a week or so, but she got healthy.
Had I felt like she was getting worse I would have filled the RX, but thankfully we didn't need it.
