Service project

We had a family home evening about being thankful and doing tings for others. So we decided as a family to make fleece blankets with ties. We got fabric and the happy thoughts the kids had about doing this went down the pot. It was not what I had envisioned as a bonding experience with the kids.   

Oh well. 

I'm going to contact a homeless shelter and set up a time to drop them off, with all of the kids. It's important to me for them to have a real life dose of people that don't have as much as they do, and to feel good for making a small effort to help. 

So, fail on the actual "bonding time", BUT something good will come out of this.
