Saturday is a special day

So, I did a thing. I lied. To my kids. 

I told them the dishwasher was broken so we have to hand wash the dishes now. Why? Because I need to overhaul on responsibility in this house. Lying probably isn’t the best example, but it’s what I’m left with currently. 

And you know what? There hasn’t been any complaining. I’ve given them all a chore to do every day of the week, and on Saturday, we did a bigger clean so today wasn’t a disaster that would drive me nuts and by nature of that, be a monster to be around. 

I’m a monster without the messy house adding to it. 

It was a success, nonetheless. I put a timer on for an hour and they all did their jobs. I think I need a bigger list next time! Haha.
