A good read

My SIL Stacie sent me this book after she mentioned that I should read it. It was awesome. A fairly easy read but a definite page turner. I flew through it in about a day and half between taking care of children, and sleeping:)
Once in a while I come across something that really 'hits home', I guess, in my life. The last time I had something move me like this was when I bawled my eyes out at The Notebook. No, not the actual book but, the movie. The love story is absolutely compelling. It has left my stomach with butterflies and my heart craving the passion for love that the main characters have for each other.
Matt came home after I finished it and I was drawn to him. I asked him if he loved me so much it hurt. (Being completely sincere mind you!) His answer...."you have no idea how painful it is to love you"! Nice guy huh ;) So I guess I will reserve my 'pioneer love story' to my mind. I said to him that I wished we lived back then so we could have a "simple" life....and quickly thought of all the children born in this book...without pain killers and no way to stop the fertilizing! No thanks!

All in all...if you haven't read it...mark it on your list. I'm pretty positive you won't be disappointed!

So now, I've recommended a book...it's your turn...any page turners I should pick up?

I'm gonna recommend Erick read your entry before he heads out to sea...I know he would COMPLETELY identify with Matt :)

hey...and your next book should be the book called " matched" by Ally Condie....I've heard it's similar to the hunger games...but different :)

You should also ready Graceling. It was really good. Totally different than These is my Words, but really good none the less. :)

I have added it to my list.

I don't know what kind of books you like. The Book Theif was really good, I had trouble getting in to it, but once I did I finished it within a week...and it's not short! I also bawled at the end though, so if you don't want to cry, don't read it.
Speaking of books that made me cry, My Sister's Keeper (loved the book - hated the movie).

I'd have to check my bookshelf before I offer up any more. But I will have plenty of options, I'm trying to read 50 books this year...so...there are bound to be some really good ones in there.
