Lazarus had been dead four days by the time that Christ was with Mary and Martha. Raising Lazarus from the dead, with the witnesses around was to be his last miracle before His crucifixion. But before He went into Lazarus, He wept.
He wept with Mary and Martha and mourned the loss of their brother. He didn't rush in and tell them not to worry because He would raise him up.
No.
He cried with them and for them. The Savior of the world who overcame death was with these women in their sorrow, because He loved them and He loved Lazarus.
I know He loves me even though I don't love myself most of the time.
I hope whoever reads this, can feel His love for them too.
