weekend

Wow. What a weekend! We had general conference and it was GREAT! I haven't had such a good session in.....well, I'm not sure I ever have:) I think it's in part because I am growing and realizing what I want out of life...both physical and spiritual. I'm not sure I can pick out one talk that was the best for me. Uchtdorf was great, Elder Oaks was great.
Elder Oaks was especially touching for me today because I had just gotten home from an in-between session walk with B, and on that walk I was going over in my head what I could do to better spend my time with him. Lol...I have a tendency in the evenings to rush through his bedtime because I generally have a tv show on....super lame...I know! And I've been feeling bad about it. So I re-commited myself to focusing more on time well spent with him because, I don't work, so what's my excuse?
So I felt good about my 'epiphany' and got him laid down for a nap just in time for second session, and Elder Oaks comes on and starts talking about self sacrifice. I was like...wow...Heavenly Father you....you amaze me. Elder Oaks used the scripture in Matthew that says "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Needless to say I was more than inspired to want to do better. Tv doesn't matter. And with the way B and i have been going at it, maybe that's him telling me "hey Mom.....you suck right now, pay attention to me." So I am going to. I'll take Elder Uchtdorf's council and keep at my good habits:)
Whew...anyway:) Matt comes home in 11 days!!!!! We are so ready for that to happen. I have my super dooper ultrasound on Tuesday. I'm fairly excited for that. I also ...wait for it....lol, got registered fo rmy summer classes at Weber State. I know...can you believe it? I may actually go to school instead of just say I am:) I'm signed up for a math, english, and photography so far. Orientation is April 13th and I'll figure out what else I should take. Wow I'm a blabber. Ok, so till then.
