Motherhood is.....

Like running a prison. You try your darnedest to keep the inmates in line and just when you think you are getting through to them...BAMone of them explodes sending you back 10 steps in the negative because staying at 0 never happens.

Like getting a new puppy and bringing it outside for a nice long romp in the grass only to have it's stamina build up so that it just keeps going and going and going with no end in sight.

Like being in prison. (when your spouse is gone or you are a single mother) There are no breaks. When all you want to do is pee in peace but you can't because someone is always watching you.

Like trying to lose weight. The harder you work at it, and try to be diligent and do what the "experts" say, the harder the let down is when you only lose 0.2 lbs. Or when you say screw it and just forget about keeping track and then see how quickly it all falls apart and you have to start the week over just to break even on your next weigh-in.

I know there are a million other things...so please share them! I need something to keep me from hitting back on grampa's cough syrup!

one more day....one more day...

So true.... take it from us experienced mom's this "to will pass:.Meg if you could see into the future you would see that before you really know it time will pass away and there will be moments when you really will miss these days, and you will think to your self wow if only they were little again. But since you can't, just know that your not alone and you are doing wonderful. Now take a deep breath, give a sigh and hug each one of those precious little gifts from heaven and pray that tomorrow evening comes fast. Love you....

I feel that it is more insane asylum than prison and unfortunately for us we are more patient than warden. But hey, at least there they give you good drugs, right? ;)

Hang in there. Someday you will find the wizard that makes kids sleep in.(Teenagers) Until then just follow that yellow brick road and you will find those sleeping poppies.

I couldn't imagine having children, much less trying to do it all on your own. You can do it!
