Just another photo dump

Saw the whitehouse. Didn't bother to get out.

Are you supposed to smile at Arlington Natl Cemetary?
We saw the guards switch(every 30 min) and the kids were quiet. Not a peep. It was really neat.

This wasn't even the worst toll we had. Ridiculous. And NY city looked haggard. I would imagine with the 13$ tolls they could clean the streets. Or pick up trash.

No car DVD player? No problem. All you need is a little ingenuity:)

Not the most family friendly Holiday Inn express we have stayed at. This was in Stamford, CT. Just FYI.

We made it!

Oh the insanity

I most definitely don't have the brain capacity to write out all the details of my super quick trip back east...so I'm sorry. I know how much you are all dying to know ;) Basically it was the worst flying experience I have ever had. On the way out my connecting flight was cancelled so I got to hang out in the Detroit airport for 5 1/2 hours. On the way home my connecting flight was already done boarding when I was taxing in. I had to run from one end of the airport to the other end while carrying a 17 lb baby in a car seat!!!!
Do you know what's uglier than a stretch mark? A bruised stretch mark!
Baby C did great though. I couldn't have asked for a more well behaved child...which is probably why I wasn't more ticked off at the flying mishaps than I could have been. One blessing.

Why go on a three day trip with two days on a plane you ask? Cause my little sister graduated and I am so happy to have been there.

Isn't she pretty:)

Best of all, she got accepted to school here and it looks like she is going to come! She's very nervous so I have to keep coaching her on the 'non-scariness' of it :)

Ok, the kids that I desperately still need a break from are running around crying and whining....so I'm going to go in the other room ;) Till I have more functionality in my brain,
Meg

Soccer, insanity and three days left

I don't know what it is about being separated for any amount of time, but it never fails that the last week is torture. It's torture when he's been gone two weeks, and torture when he's gone six weeks. The first two Sundays were glorious with the kids. All three of them were angels(as much as that's possible). Not this Sunday. Nope, not even little baby C was calm. Miss C was terrorizing the little girl in front of us because she had snacks and my poor starving girl didn't. And then the other little girl had 'my little ponies', which my so very unfortunate little girl did not. I tell you...you would think that we live in a cardboard box and never get to eat or play with any toys!

I forced my son to lay in his bed and take a nap today. There is something seriously wrong with him reaching the decibel he does. I am biding my time until child welfare people come knocking on my door because the neighbors have called and said it sounds like a slaughterhouse here :/ So he napped. Thank the Lord!

The older two have been refusing to go to sleep before 9pm this week. I separate them at night since Miss C has a big girl bed and I don't really want to encourage raising cane at all hours of the night. But it apparently doesn't matter. To top off their lack of snoozing, they also wake up between 630-7. But just this week.

Last Wednesday B started soccer. I put the younger two in our jogging stroller because they have enjoyed it before. Not that night. Baby C refused to sit and play, no, he had to be held. And Miss C refused to have the flap down(which was saving her from the rain sprinkles). And she dumped 80% of her capri sun in her lap.

yes...the last week will test the patience and will power of even the strongest of human beings. I'm counting down to Wednesday...and then Thursday night...when I get a mini-vaca from two of my snot nosed pain in the butt little sweethearts that I will miss soooo very much!

hmmm

Sometimes I just don't know what to "title" my post. I actually hardly ever know a really cute title....it's annoying actually. Random thought I know:) My visit to CT is coming to a close. I leave on Thursday to go home. It has been fun. But I am ready to start "nesting" and gearing up for baby C to come along. I am hurting more too. Last night we were watching a movie and C decided to try and poke my belly button out from the inside...it was a less than pleasant experience:) My groin is really taking a beating this time around too. I know...quit complaining:) I had a nice quick visit up to NH and ME this past week. It was good to see the people I could. Jen and I are going to finish up some crafty things this week before we fly out. I made a thermal receiving blanket this afternoon and she is making one as I type. So enough chit chat...here's some pictures:)
