who's worse?

Our schedule thus far has been to go grocery shopping, as a family, on Saturdays. This will be ending. We can never seem to get out of the house more than an hour before lunch. So by the time we get there the children are starting to turn into the savages we all know so well. And then there's the spouse. I love nothing more than to spend time with him. Seriously. But the whole time we are out I worry about keeping the kids under control so they don't irritate Dad. They can/do irritate me all the time...I'm used to it. Matt on the other hand...really only has so much patience. Between every one and their brother being at the store, B asking for a toy, over, and over and over again, miss C whining because she's hungry along with baby C. ...we all want to rip each others heads off 15 minutes into it. So I get all flustered and end up taking twice as long to find things, or remember what I need to get and then we always seem to forget something.
So I think, I have decided, that I am going to take Saturday morning and have some Zen time by myself in the car. Because the grocery store is pretty much the only place I know how to get to. And since we don't have our cell phones anymore(heavy sobbing) I won't be able to be called....or texted. Oh.My.Gosh! Just think how many arguments we will have on this day when Mom takes 5 hours to buy food! -insert evil laugh-

In other news....it seems that all of our children are sick now. I have been fighting it valiantly with only a slight sore throat. Go me! Baby C continues to get up twice a night :'( If he continues with this trend till the end of March then I'm going to ask the kids' pediatrician if I can start feeding something of more substance. If she says no...I may have to anyway. I need sleep!!! And...I secretly want a big chunky kid! lol. Although...cleaning him like a shar pei isn't the most fun thing to do. Ok, I think it's time to make a getaway! Till then,
Meg

Act 2 scene 1,287,453

I told Jen that she needed to move out quicker because my life was "blog worthy" with all the excitement! Yesterday was very interesting. I think our first moment was when Sir pukes alot was getting changed. His mom did it. We bought some cloth diapers at wal-mart to make some burp cloths. And of course the purpose of those is to actually be made to use as diapers. Jen decided she was going to put one on him. She wanted to put one on him and take some pictures but he really needed to be fed. So she fed him. Then she looked down and he had pooped on his cute cloth diaper. So mommy asked for a regular diaper since she had only made one. Diaper came off and while waiting for the other...a fountain arose from the nether regions. After the 20 minute stream and a breather...his mother was blessed with some number 2 action! lol...it was hilarious. :)
The next activity was our trip to Stop & Shop. Grammy, the eldest and I went out to buy some things that we needed at the store. I put the eldest in the shopping cart and his Grammy pushed him. Very typical. So much that I never fear for his safety. Now it's different. Upon our departure I was lagging behind a smidge doing something with my phone. And everyone is aware of the graduated sidewalks that go along the stores and they give you a space to get your cart into the parking lot. Grammy decided to go four-wheeling. I look up and the cart is falling sideways and my son has a terrified look on his face. Slow motion best describes it. lol. So I got to be the savior against his evil grandmother. :)
Last but clearly the most exciting......I lost my Iphone! We finally made it to the Croc store to get my kiddo some new shoes. So we're there and make a decision on what to get and cash out. Leave, things are dandy. Get home. Start making dinner. Hmmm...so I say to myself, self, where is your cell phone? I use Jen's phone to call mine. No sound...maybe it's on vibrate? Call again...listen real close. Nothing. MIL, where's your phone...maybe I just can't hear the ring tone I've got for Jen. Call...nothing. Flipping fantastic. So I get on the computer and look up the phone number for the Croc store. "Hi, I was just in there and have misplaced my phone and was wondering if it was there"? "The Iphone?, yea it's here". "Ok, I'll be down". Now you have to remember...I'm in the land of everything takes at least a half an hour to get to so the htought of me being so retarded and forgetting my phone is enough to make me beat myself in the head. So....up the stairs I go to inform my sister in law of my brain malfunction and see if she will go with me. -knock knock- on their door. Immediately after that I hear this loud and startled noise come from her room. Why? I'll let you figure it out:) lol. It was a very interesting day:) To end this post I'll share a picture that I took of Jen and sir pukes alot:)

I don't have a quirky title...I'm sorry

Mr. Cat took off his son's training wheels on his bike this weekend. It was interesting. I have to say that movies make showing your child how to ride their bike so much easier than it actually is. It was not a magical moment where we held on for 10 feet, let go, and he was off to ride into the sunset with his new-found glory. It was more like holding on, the whole time, straining the bicep and panting while the child looked off to his left completely not paying attention. I told him he needed to feel his balance and not let the bike tip. So he say's "Mom, I feel it...I feel it". And when he got tired of trying to ride he said he was going to let his bike relax. Good idea dude.
Our baby is trying to clap her hands. She raises them above her head and smiles, and I feel bad leaving her hanging so I humor her every time she does it and clap my own hands and then hers. She also has mimicked me rocking side to side on my chair while feeding her. I was singing a "yummy yummy yummy" song to her while doing it. You can purchase this song on itunes for $5.99. So now...when she is just hanging out she takes to rocking side to side while performing her own rendition of the "yummy" song. It has got to be the cutest thing I've seen in a long time.
I had a conversation with Mr. Cat about how to turn women on. I really had no advice to give him except it's more psychological with women. He voiced his opinion by telling me that that took far too long. "I could be rubbing your back all night". lol...so I told him to google it. He did. And in a rather amusing attempt to get something going I could hear some sad romantic jazz music coming out of his iphone. LOL I cracked up instantly. When that song was over, and more sad renditions of jazz love music that sounded like elevator music came one, I told him he had to switch it. So the next choice was some late 80's early 90's love songs. Makes for an interesting night when you've got the soundtrack from Dirty Dancing trying to get you in the mood.
till the next,
Meg

Iphone

My wonderful husband decided a few weeks ago that he really "needed" an iphone. He has had this need since they came out but didn't take the plunge until his friends at work all got one and were playing on them constantly. Peer pressure:) I have to say that I was reluctant to get one because they really do alot of things that I didn't think I would need. Which...I certainly don't spend all day looking for new and awesome apps. There is one feature that has been quite handy I have found. It's the "note" app that comes standard. Beckham is forever doing funny things that I tell myself I need to write down so I don't forget...and by the end of the brain wave...I have forgotten. Go figure! SO I write down the gist of these funny situations, just enough to jog my memory of what happened. And I'm glad I have. I find myself thinking about my kids and how many awesome experiences I have on a day to day basis. So much that I wish I could set up a video recorder to record all day everyday so I don't forget anything. I really am a big sap. Or as a speaker at my Relief Society thing said "I'm such a boob"!
So to this "boob's" point...I want to write these things down on my blog to share and to also have a 90% full  account of the experience.

My son has a very good imagination. So much that he does this role playing with me or someone and for the next week...or month he wants to play this "game" again. We have the 'phone game' which is where he pretends to talk to his grandmother via sneakers and go places...Jo-anns has been the place of interest as of late...not sure why though;) But this new one he came up with is a "news channel guy". He pretends to tell us the news and any other random thoughts that pop up into his head. Well being the person and mother that I am...he was talking to the viewers about watching the video of the house burning down. Lol, so I was asking my news channel guy how the house,....noooo it was "destroyed". Ok..I was asking him how it got destroyed. He told me a gun did it. I said nooo a gun can't destroy a house. Lol...and he did his getting flustered thing and started demanding we watch the show. Somehow I told the news channel guy that he was a weirdo:) He turns to me...with his viewer(Grammy) watching and says "she's the weirdo"! It was pretty funny. Funny enough that I wanted to remember it:) But since I've written a book tonight, you'll have to wait for the next installment of "my life as a stay at home mom". :) But here are some pics for your viewing enjoyment! Till then,
Meg
