Well we have up and moved 3000 miles to Alaska. I'm not sure why yet, I'll try to fill you in when I figure it out! But along this journey I realized/learned a few things. And now I'm going to share....aren't you lucky!
There are quite a few more cattle farms in Canada than I thought there would be. It was much like driving through Idaho,....the long boring trip to Idaho. Lol.
We stopped for gas/potty break and I had to change some children and the changing table in the bathroom was bolted on the wall and was at roughly below my chest. It was interesting.
I was witness to Matt having a temper tantrum the one time I drove the van. Lol. He was irritated at the way i had things organized and things kept falling on him and his son kept repeating himself...."dad", "dad", "dad". Lolol
We thought going into this that the two little kids were going to be very needy...we were wrong. The eldest was almost a pre-Madonna.
Round hay bales with snow on them look like mini-spooners. Well...more like giant spooners!!
Midgets singing Katy perry songs are hilarious-look it up on YouTube
When you divide km by 1.6 it gives you the distance in miles. I find personal amusement when Matt tries to do it in his head and is off by 20 or so:)
Peeing in a bottle is an option driving across the Yukon! Beckham tried:)
Dirt hitting the underside of your car is a glorious sound.
Occasionally hooves stick out of the snow.
It took 4 days for the "pull this car over" threat.
Matt-"did the heater get warm again"? Me-it's cause i let out some octane gas. Matt- what? Me- its cause i let out some octane gas. Matt-come again. Me- it's cause I farted!!! Follow this with uncontrollable laughing:)
-22 is the lowest our vans thermostat goes.
Breastfeeding in public warrants creepy eskimo stares
"Beckham quit jumping that guy off her head"!

Life goes on
We have successfully made it home! The drive home went smooth and we didn't have any problems...very exciting. I have pictures galore...well maybe not galore, but I have them. I will be posting them on here and facebook shortly.
Vacation was good. Spent some quality time with my cute niece in CT. She is quite the character and gives her mother a run for her money. I also got to see her new brother who is also cute...but makes me feel like I'm holding his father as a baby! lol. The poor little guy caught the cold that was going around and started with my son. It's no fun when little babies get sick. It was bad enough that my baby caught it and is still fighting the nasty cough it came with:/
N.H. was great. I really enjoyed having Matt there with me this time around. I think it helped certain folks not be quite as bitter towards me. He's also a great set of hands:) We did some fun stuff and when I get some pictures up I'll narrate for you. Some of the things were, shopping in a state with no sales tax!, Squam science center, & swimming. I had a hard time leaving this time. My mom and I had a really good time and didn't "fight" once. :)
Maine was also good. We got to celebrate Miss Courtney's 15th birthday with her and attend a baby shower for one of the cousins who is having twins as their first parenting experience! Good luck to them! Grammy and Grandpa looked great. Matt and I talked about how his grandmother never changes. It's comforting:)
But now we are home and back to reality. Laundry, dishes, groceries, Dr appts, waiting for Matt to lose his job, you know...the normal stuff. :) As far as pregnancy goes, it's been better. I get frequent headaches with this one attributed to not enough water, and being more tired from having to chase two instead of one:) I am 15 weeks now and it's gone by fast. I am still fitting into regular pants which is a HUGE accomplishment! I'm hoping to get diet and exercise back on track now that we are home so I can continue feeling not quite like a beached whale...yet;) Ok, enough yacking. Till the pics,
Meg

Will the excitement never cease?!
I really should have been writing this whole time with all the crazy things that have gone on. But alas, my energy faileth at the end of the day. I know...how much energy does getting on the computer require? I will tell you...a lot! Not so much physical obviously...but my mental power is lacking. I also need to write down this fact, as to why one should never have children so close together, your brain goes into hyperdrive for brain cells spewing out. I constantly find myself going in circles trying to remember what I was doing or what I was getting. It's insane.
So, I'm on "vacation". Ha! I think I will be on vacation when I get home:) Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed my time here. Really,...I'm not just trying to convince myself. What has happened since we entered New England.
1. my niece was super cranky when we arrived and her Mom just attributed it to schedule change because, well, her daughter doesn't do change well. But she took her to the Dr's for some goopy stuff taht was going on in her eye...turns out she had an ear infection and the start of another one...so on antibiotics she went. Well...since my baby was rather cranky and showed some of the same behavior I decided to take her to the Dr's as well. So off we went to the insta care...and 4 hours later we discover she had a residual double ear infection...so on to antibiotics she went.
2. The antibiotics she is on gave her some loose bowels. We went to drop off my FIL at the Hartford airport which takes about an hour with traffic. Well on the way back my eldest tells me that his sister pooped in her carseat. I thought he was referring to the time when she was newborn and made a ginormous mess in her seat. So I brushed it off. Drive a few more minutes and I get a whiff of something of the poo nature. Hmmm...so I ask...."son, is there poop in her carseat"? "yes". Great!!!! "and she's got it on her nose". Awesome!!!! All I could do was laugh. Laugh at the insanity. Laugh at the mess I was going to have to clean up. I look back and she's got her legs up in the air and of course they are covered in poo. lol. The luck.
Ahh...yes. Vacation. My niece, while cute and fuzzy, has the biggest stubborn gene. It's mixed in with being contrary. Poor Jen really lucked out...not only do her kids look like Erick,...they both act like him too. Not saying Erick is a bad person, but his kids don't know how to control their controllable genes yet:) To each our own though. Aside from the baby who hasn't felt good until a few days ago, the eldest has been a pain. He definitely has the mother hen thing down. Which is amusing to me because he's been an only child for 4 years...and I really doubt 9 months of his sister has done it to him. Nature. Weird.
Fun things you ask? Sure! We went to Mystic Village and bought the BEST Vermont sharp cheddar I've ever had! I'm not one for munching on just cheese...but oh boy did I with this stuff! Also got some tasty Moose tracks fudge which probably has added a pound or two to my butt:) We went to the ocean. It was colder than a witches(fill in the blank). The kids had fun. Jen's girl discovered sand and was rolling around in it like a sports illustrated bikini model...lol. My girl liked picking it up, squishing it in her fingers and then eating it.
There it goes,...the brain power. So till the time I muster more up,
Meg

oh boy!
I'm traveling. Across country. With my in-laws and kids. I haven't figured out who is worse. This evening is turning out to be interesting. We are staying in a Days Inn tonight. Pennsylvania is nothing but construction so that means that we are staying in a "construction hotel" as my MIL put it. We walked in and hit a brick wall of the wonderful aroma of B.O. That coupled with cigarette smoke...it's a winning combination. I should be grateful that we have a place to stay. Along with being grateful that my poor daughter is cutting every single tooth in her mouth...starting the night before we left. Awesome! There really isn't anything like being brought to your knees, just about in tears, praying for your child to go to sleep.
So we've got about 7 hours left to the general destination. We are visiting with Jen and then breaking off to the other branches of family. I'm hoping to motivate Jen to brave a trip up to Maine to show off her son....but that means I'd have to share the spotlight with my new "baby". Hmmm....may have to rethink that;) Sunday theyu are blessing their new son and Miss Sariah is in CT also and will be blessing their new baby too. It should be fun:) Ok, it is late, and baby C is starting the night out like the rest of them this week....wish me luck and her comfort. So till then,
Meg

Making my way abroad
I leave for the East in about 36 hours. I've spent my day doing laundry and mopping and vacuuming and dishes...all in hopes of not having a huge mess when I get back. I know,...living with Mr. Cat and his bachelor brother...I can't expect the world. But a girl can hope right? I also need to cut my fingernails. That's one thing that always happens when I am with child....super cracked out growth of fingernails and toenails. Anyway,...back to the point here. Packing, chores, yes. I am quite impressed with myself today actually. C-baby's bag is packed! I still should make a list of 'things' I need/want to bring. Camera is a must! I never did get a project done that is a late birthday present...so I hope my sister(in-law) is down with a trip to a store and tackling it:) I'm sorry for the abstract way I'm writing...there is a chance (like 1 in 1 million) that the recipient of said project will read this. But never fear! I will post a picture when I can and if I remember:)
I have a dr's appt tomorrow. Fun. I don't know why I schedule them in the afternoon either. I'm going to be up in weight not only because there scale is 3 pounds higher than mine...but also all the crap I will have eaten by then. Dang! Maybe....I'll fast all day. lol. Good plan! AND I get to do my early glucola test. I have only had the gestational once, buuuut that makes me a good candidate for it again. When I did have it, it was a super pain....but it helped my weight gain to stop. So I'm certainly not wishing me to get it...but it would help my phobia of weight gain....because I have no self control. :/ I'm still able to wear my jeans though...so that's super plus. I know I'm only 11 weeks...but I am not one of the fortunate women in Utah that can wear them their whole pregnancy. To put it gently on myself....I got some birthin' hips...with a generous amount of cushion:P But...back to point...I want to have number three be lucky and maybe pull off wearing one of those belly bandz! That'd be neat-o!!!
So yea...I'm going back East. And I think I'm excited. I'm in no way excited for traveling across country with a FIL that thinks he's the only one that can go 85 mph. Or the fact that I'm going to be a passenger in my car. lol. But patience is my virtue. All will be well. I don't have any worries about the kids turning into something from a horror movie...so that's good. Well...good if they don't! OK...I've blabbed far too long. But here's a pic that I took yesterday...I think it's good...what do YOU think?

Playing in the treehouse
We got out of the house today. Thank the Lord! The weather has still been a drag around here and it can make you go crazy. I see the sun has decided to shine for a few minutes as I write this post...mocking me. :) Yes, we got out. My friend and also primary president had some free passes to go the Treehouse Children's Museum in Ogden. It was fun. I wish I had gone a long time ago cause it would have made this winter less....well just less. I might have to save some money and get a family pass. They had a lot of different "rooms" the kids could play in. I'm sure I would have loved to go there when I was a kid. It reminded me of the one in NH. I can't for the life of me remember the name so if anyone reading this does...help me out! They've got the big bubble thing you can stand in the middle of, and the grocery store...I'm thinking it was near Meredith? Help! :) Anyway...we were there for almost 2 hours and I'm sure we could have stayed much longer...but babies have priority. But I definitely want to go again...soon. I uploaded pictures from today --->HERE<---
In other news....we went on a drive on Sunday. I was almost shot. For taking pictures. This is one...
This angle required...some innocent fence climbing. The fence may or may not have been posted with a no trespassing sign. In any case...a burly man came running out and looked less than pleased. He asked me what country I was from...being the quick witted person I am...I instantly knew why he was asking such a question. He was wondering if I could read the sign that may or may not have been posted on his fence that I jumped over. So...I was only able to capture a few pictures. It crossed my mind later that I should have asked him if he knew that it was Obama land and he needed to share. I think I most surely would have gotten shot...so it was good I didn't:) Yes, I am a law breaker. Sad I know. But hopefully I will be a famous photographer someday and this picture will make me millions and then I can go back to him and "share the wealth".
Till the next,
Meg

We are home again! Yay! It was a good time up in ID. We hung out...did some shopping, played with the niece and nephews, and played racquetball! It was my very first time playing. I managed to trip over myself and bash my head off the floor within the first 20 minutes. I am talented I know:) I was also able to get a nice bruise form the slide at the Carl's JR play place. Don't ask:P The Idahoans looked good and seemed to be doing alright. I took some pictures while I was there, but not really all that much. Surprising I know. :) BUt here are a few form our stay. I will post mass quantities on facebook...for all interested:) Enjoy! And till tomorrow night's dinner,
Meg

I don't even know....

Greetings from land of the living dead! I'm not sure why I start blogs. I can never keep up with them! lol. Kind of like my journal, I get in the groove and then...done..kaput..finito! So here I am...at another feeble attempt to keep readers entertained:) It has been over a month since my last post. What has happened. Oh! I went back east to my Boppa's funeral. That was flipping fantastic. Nothing like resenting my move to Utah like that. But I did, and he passed so what really can I do? But on the flipside of things, we had a wonderful visit with M's grandparents who are very alive and kicking:) The hubby and I both had a few moments where we missed very much our visits that we used to have. Just another reason to move home...

Other than the constant reminders of moving home, I think M had a nice time. It was really quick though. The services were Monday and he left Tuesday morning. He got to play some "Rock Band" with my brother I-man, so the trip was not a complete loss:) I played photographer outside with my Dad and B. They went up into the pit and threw rocks into a pool of water. B picked up some that were about as heavy as he was!

To add some more joyfulness to this post, I took over 400 pics on my trip back.
So when we made it down to Jen's I knew I was going to take a bit more. So I went into good ol' Wal-mart and stuck my memory card into the slot and downloaded the pics for them to make me cd's. Picked up the cd's....they looked legit....deleted all of the pics off my card. I got home...and 2 of the 4 cd's don't work! Talk about really, really, irritating someone! So more than half of my pics no longer exist. Which brings me to this next point. I'm not shopping at wal-mart anymore. Because of the pictures incident AND I'm sick of buying things originating in Mexico, or China. American made is more expensive, but it's AMERICAN MADE!!!!! Wow I'm an angry soul today...hahaha.

And with that. I think that's all I have for today. SoI hope this was as enjoyable for you as it was me...:) Have a fantastic day!
Meg

All is well now:)

Spring has arrived in Utah. Well for a few days anyway:) It is very strange here how the seasons can change overnight. We have beautiful weather for 2 days or so and the next minute...it's snowing! This flower is from my in-laws tree in their front yard. I should have taken a picture of the dandelions that are taking over the yard...but why show the world that scary scene:) We had an OK weekend. M worked the whole time, well 90% of the time, and 5% was dedicated to golf that he shouldn't have played. And the other 5% was sleep. I spent my Saturday doing laundry and visiting with Grammy Rose. The Dr. she saw upped her medication and it seems to be helping her alot. We spent most of the day doing yard work. She played some soccer with B. She really enjoys him I think. I was able to snatch a photo of my father-in-law actually doing MANUAL LABOR!!!! So here is the proof!
Amazing I know!So by the end of the day everyone was rather tired. B swung in the swing for a while. And we just chilled out. But his grandmother thought it would be funny to stick a pull-up on his head like a helmet! B thought it was great. I almost think she's losing it more than Grammy R.!

So now I'm "thinking" about getting ready for my trip. I actually made it to the gym today. I'm hoping that I'll miraculously lose 5 lbs by Wednesday! Yuh! One can hope I guess. I do alot better eating wise when M works nights. I should just kick him out of the house I guess:) ANYWAY....I don't imagine I will post again for at least 3 weeks. So till then

Yay.....
The snot wagon has FINALLY stopped running. And do you know what that means?

Back to exercising:) It has been over a week I think since I went. Ouch! Needless to say I'm going to be tired. And I need to get moving because if I don't do it now, I'll lose my steam and not go at all.
On another note. I stopped by the in-laws yesterday. Grammy Catanzaro requested the presence of my son. So we went and had lunch. She didn't seem all that crazy...until I mentioned something about having her dog go to a vet here from now on. She said "I'm not staying here indefinitely." Last week she was saying that she was moving here. Weird. It's sad what Alzheimer's does to the memory. It makes me think that if Boppa really was getting this disease, I am so grateful he went the way he did. I'm not so sure how it would have been to see him start to forget all of his family. I know I personally wouldn't have wanted that.
I leave for NH in...T minus 5 days! Holy moly! Marley (my foster dog) is supposed to be leaving me this weekend. -sighs- I'm a little relieved. He's a good dog, but it certainly gets a little crazy around here:)

Speaking of dogs, they need to eat. And I hear my son, so he needs to eat:) And I need to get motivated and go to the gym. So until then my furry little friends:)
