Oh hello there

Oh good Lord. My life continues to spin at a rate of nostoppinginsight and I'm not sure what to do about it. Nothing? Good idea. The only thing constant in my life is my incessant need to document it in pictures. And mostly it's the wee one. She doesn't run away yet. And the cat. He's too dumb to care.

 Her beauty is amazing. Uh-ma-zing.

 Obsessed with Ninja's much?

 I actually really...'love' this cat. I can't believe it. I love him.

 Mohawk.

 #mykidiscuterthanyours

He loves her.

In other news:
preschool at home was a bust-she's in reg school now
I'm almost 4 months in to nursing. I'm almost ready to end
Joined a weight loss challenge. Wish me luck
I miss my Dad
This fall was awesome. Beautiful actually.

Amen to that.

A face-lift

Sometimes you just need a quick face-lift to make you feel better. Of course I've never had a face-lift so I really can't make that claim. But this blog needed something to make it better feeling.
We are just about 25 weeks into this pregnancy. I have to say, these last few weeks have taken forever. Forever.
Spring is flirting with us here in Alaska and I wish she'd stop being prude. I could use some warm sunshine and no more snow on the ground.
I could also use a baby name. We still haven't figured one out for girl #2 that's making me look farther along than I am. Any suggestions? Granted, I probably will just shoot them down...but why not humor me:) Please. I'm desperate.
This was a bunch of randomness. But I feel better. And this picture will make you feel better.

Yes. She is crazy. We are aware.

oops, I did it again

No, this is actually the first time that I've done this. And I want to share. I took some family pictures of us a loooong time ago. Like September. And the Adorama had a super mega deal for prints that only cost me 30$ so I ordered them. In big sizes. And they have sat in my office/workspace/craft room for a the above mentioned 'looooong time'.
Well Joann's had a fantastic coopin for 55% + 20$ off your entire custom framing order and I was excited. I mean...that was a great coopin! So off I went. I needed a frame that would house my 16x20 print with a matte. I picked out the least expensive frame and glass I could and the total? 102$! STILL?! Holy how do they sleep at night? And since I really did not have that money or want to spend that money...I took to looking at their regular frames. The only ones they had were both broken, which isn't a big deal. I wasn't scared to slap some wood glue on and call it good. Only they weren't real wood. Some MDF, cheap cheapo stuff. And the more we handled the frame the worse it got. Well poop.
So...I was going to suck it up and buy the expensive frame. And of course (as is my true character) I was complaining to the frame guy about how cheap I was and blah blah blah. So he goes out back and emerges a few minutes later and tells me they have an "oops frame" that's an 18x24...am I interested. Well, what's an oops frame? It's a frame that has merely come in the wrong size that they discount super cheap!!! Total cost for frame and glass?

$50.00! Bazinga!

Moral of this very long winded story:
Next time you want a great looking frame, check with the clerk at Joann's and Michael's for any "oops frames". I know I certainly will. All the time.
And as a side note, I love our living room now. Our house is very, very slowly starting to look like a family lives in it. If you haven't been counting all the food spatters on the wall and dings in the trim!

Gender reveal!!!

Oh boy! I mean, I'm really excited about the ultrasound we had today. We saw lots of the new baby. The spine was fabulous, so much that the tech said so:) No cleft lip and all major organs are working beautifully. It took a good 20 minutes to capture the lip picture because the baby found the placenta to be a perfect hiding place. Needless to say, my midsection got quite a beating with all the jumbling to get baby to move. And I felt like I needed to go to gym with how jiggly it was...lol. But without further adeu, here are some pictures.

Good to see that the nose looks like the other kids'.

And alien baby because we are only 18 weeks along so there's not much fat to show the features:)

And I'm keeping the "goods" picture private since our little GIRL might not want that in public:) Yes, another girl. And little Miss couldn't be more excited:) Yay for us:) Now excuse me while I go live on pinterest for nursery ideas.

A link for you

Did you know that if you take pictures in RAW format and transfer them to an external drive it changes them to JPEG? Well it did in my case. Kind of a bummer. It's also a bummer when you take a million pictures of all sorts of cool things and don't have the desire to "edit" them. At all. But it's alright. I don't mind.  If you'd like to see a tiny bit of what the goings on were while I was gone, you can go, HERE.
Today I get to bring the eldest to the dentist. I'm not looking forward to this visit because it came about from this:

Yes. My incredibly self controlled son didn't throw a temper tantrum, because I asked him to move his coat from the floor, and whack himself in the mouth with the zipper. Nope. He would never do that. And of course it had to be an adult tooth. -sigh-
In other news. I'm backed up two months on project life. Yay. And life isn't slowing down or getting any less complicated. :) One day at a time. Heck...it should be one moment at a time!
I hope your moments are going smoothly friends.

no time like the now

So the countdown is back on till the hubs leaves again. Boo! So we made the best of his crazy week of work, last week, by doing some family stuff. We took a drive out to Wasilla so he could show me a house that he really wants to buy. (probably not going to happen:)) We also went out to Eklutna Lake. Some friends of ours from church asked us to go camping but the plans/communication of it all didn't quite work out. But we still drove up to try and meet up with them to go bike riding...but alas, they drove out as we drove in!

But it was all good because we had a blast anyway:) Here are the pics from our outing.

It was absolutely gorgeous and really these pictures don't do it justice. We really live in a beautiful area. The best part, however, is NO TICKS!!!!! And no jaunt outside would be complete without seeing a bear....which we did...safely from our car on the way out of the park!

Fabulous

Oh my goodness! Yesterday was by far the best birthday I've had in my adult life. Wait, who am I kidding....best birthday ever :) Even though the day was filled with kids that made it their mission to be extra demanding, extra cranky, extra psychotic, all was made right in the world the moment Matt and I left to go out. I'm talking the second the door closed I felt like a MILLION bucks!

*I love them dearly but I needed to get out with my husband*

So we went. I think he had planned for us to go to dinner and a movie but I told him I wasn't really wanting to do the movie bit. I mean...I'm pretty stuck inside all the time so why choose to do that:) So we just went to dinner. Restaurant of choice? Glacier Brew House.
It. Was. Amazing.
We got an appetizer of salsa and chips and the salsa was fresh and delicious. Seriously....we tanked it. I should have cared but I didn't! For the main course I had the Chicken Rigatoni and Matt had the Bay Shrimp and Smoked King Salmon Caesar Salad. We enjoyed our meals very much. Mine was made with a garlic butter...and I could feel the oil on my lips...that's how buttery it was...lol. There was also no way I wasn't going to get dessert either! We didn't get a birthday cake.(which is good because then you don't have to figure out what you are going to do with the 3/4 of it that's left after the fact) Friends I'd like you to meet:

Mr. Original peanut butter pie

Mr. OPBP, meet my friends. I know if they got to taste you they would love you! But you all live far away so I got to enjoy him all by myself!
I don't have to tell any of you that I  completely gorged myself on delicious food and weighed the next day had a wonderful time! It was great. -contented sigh-
I am back to reality now. But that's ok...because I have next year to look forward to spending some alone time with my husband and being "free" for just a few hours. So until then...I'll recharge the batteries with rendezvous to the grocery store...

alone :)

Here's an update from the long lost pregnant woman! Not much new to report anyway. The sun has been blessing/blasting us with it's rays. :) The Catanzaro boys are here for a visit and it's put a spin on activities:) My boy has been a little on the hyper side. But other than that...not too much is new. We had FHE on Monday. It was fun...we were going to go to the park, but it's a little of a drive for the one we wanted to go to, so we decided not to. Instead we finger painted. Matt was ok with it....but he decided it would be worth the activity if he used the finger paint in other ways:) The pictures will explain...if you haven't figured it out:)
